Sanqora ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Sanqora mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully before using the App.

  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photo library without your explicit action
  • We do not collect precise GPS location data
  • We do not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies within the App

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create, manage, and secure your account
  • To verify your identity via OTP sent by SMS or email
  • To personalise your experience based on your interests and requirements
  • To send push notifications, reminders, and service updates you have opted into
  • To provide core features: connections, events, renewals, and journaling
  • To improve, maintain, and monitor the App's performance
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • To comply with legal obligations

You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings. The App will continue to function with limited features if permissions are denied.

4. Third-Party Services & SDKs

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or social media SDKs.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Third-party services listed above, solely to operate the App
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request
  • Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Sanqora, our users, or the public
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified)

6. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers
  • All API communication is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and application-level AES-256 encryption
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text
  • OTPs expire automatically and are deleted after use
  • We implement industry-standard security measures, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure

7. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active
  • OTP Records: Automatically deleted after expiration (default: 10 minutes)
  • FCM Tokens: Updated on each login; invalid tokens are removed automatically
  • Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, connections, events, renewals, journal entries) is permanently removed from our servers

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly from the App:

  • Go to Settings → Delete Account
  • Confirm the deletion when prompted

Upon deletion, the following data is permanently and immediately removed:

  • Your user profile and all personal information
  • All connections, events, and renewals
  • All journal entries
  • Push notification tokens

You may also request account deletion by emailing support@sanqora.com. We will process the request within 30 days.

9. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (see Section 8)
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sanqora.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.

10. Children's Privacy

Sanqora is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us at support@sanqora.com.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK data protection law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
